Fine food purveyors Adlington based in Balsall Common have won three Great Taste Awards for 2021 for their English Label Chicken, Oak Smoked Ham and Cold Smoked Chicken.
Judges gave the English Label Chicken two stars and said ‘We loved the golden appearance and rich aroma. The flavour was juicy and sweet, and the texture was incredibly soft, even the breast. We could keep eating a lot more of this.’
Whilst of the Oak Smoked Ham they said ‘A handsome joint with its smoked rind, and it slices easily. There’s a deep smokey note on the fat, and a small piece that combines lean meat with goodly layer of fat seems perfectly balanced.’
Likened to Michelin Star guide for restaurants the Great Taste Awards which is organised by the Guild of Fine Food puts food and drink products to the test with a panel of over 500 experts. A great way to get quick, honest, straightforward, and impartial feedback from chefs, buyers, food writers and retailers.
